Oh lord almighty here I am ten months later finally playing the game that you used my seed in!! I am so horribly late, but life kinda happened- i have GOT to say, i did not expect this kind of game to have the teddy bear i drew featured in! Granted, I have yet to see it but like I genuinely dont need too! The whole weird neon surrealism thing is RIGHT up my alley! The narrative is really really good, i like how everyone is characterized even if their arent characters per se, ugh this just scratches my brain BEAUTIFULLY! Im happy I was able to provide to a game like this!!
This is stunning. I love that this engine allows you not to choose at decision points, and that the UI foregrounds your writing, which is fantastically terse and searing. Gorgeous game, and massive for a jam game completed within a short time! If you're ever open to collaboration (or just shooting the shit about ideas), that would be sick.
Yo, thank you so much. There was plenty more I wanted to do with the game, but given the time limit, it turned out much closer to the weird idea I had in my head than I expected. Still might go back some time, and tweak/add some things, but for now, I'm pretty happy with it.
My favorite thing abt super videotome is definitely the ability to have those non-blocking choices. That alone pushed me to get a lot more creative with the narrative than I might have otherwise. If I'm not mistaken, the creator of the engine wrote that she was inspired by the way choices are presented in 'Ladykiller in a Bind', which I think is pretty great.
Oh, and I'm very much a novice/hobbyist game-maker, so I've never had the chance to collab w/ anyone, but I'm game to try something new (and I'm always down for some good ol' fashioned shit-shooting).
Yeah I can see this game spider-webbing out into a massive number of options/endings if you wanted it to. Even at its current size, when I sent it around to my friends, none of us got the same ending! Feel free to hit me up at litrouke at gmail any time to connect about game stuff.
This is amazing. Love the ambience here, the visuals and writing go together so perfectly. Neon vibe. Also insanely impressed by how the narrative branches. There are so many different paths to take and the way options are presented is like nothing I've seen before. Played three times and there's still loads I haven't seen.
Yeah, I absolutely gave in to my tendency towards maximalism with this one. Small, dense, and weird were the watchwords. Plus, all neon everything, of course.
The main reason I chose the engine I did (besides the simplicity and ridiculous ease of use) is how smoothly it accommodates non-blocking choices. Even passivity takes the player somewhere. There are a few instances where that isn’t the case, but I’m thinking of going back and changing that, eventually.
Thank you for the kind words, but more importantly, thank you for sharing that fantastic dream seed.
I made the best and worst decision to play this while Very drunk off celebrating slinging out our own entry to the jam here. The visuals here are incredible, with some really sick writing to boot. It feels like one of those games that changed me fundamentally as a teenager and playing this was an experience I could have never expected walking in.
Very cool aesthetics and ambience. The writing was super trippy and definitely gets across the feeling of an altered state of mind.I got 2 endings and feel like I need a shower now. Overall great game.

This was giving me hotel california vibes, except you can't check out any time you like, but perhaps if you're lucky you might be able to leave.
